Alpha Beta is a Christian school which emphasizes the importance of biblical principles in all areas of the curriculum. Friday mornings are dedicated to bible teachings and praise and worship in which all students are expected to participate.

Our primary and Junior high school curriculum prepares pupils for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E) of the West African Examinations Council (W.A.E.C).

The Abacus Program is based on a “Universal Concept Mental Arithmetic System” specially designed to offer a unique opportunity for children aged 5 to 13 to develop their brains fully (left and right brains). It is ‘Math lego’ and ‘Mental Aerobics’ designed to help boost brain power and stimulate young minds using the Abacus and Mental Arithmetic in a way that children find engaging and fun.

A number of OPTIONAL after school programs have been designed to provide pupils with a fun and educational activity to do after school. These clubs run once a week on various days for a 4 – 8 week period for a small additional fee.

Over the years our students have participated in the Mini United Nations Mock Summit as well as going on several educational trips and camping expeditions. Local and international excursions are organised regularly to enable our students see practical aspects of the curriculum and gain international exposure. In 2008 a group of 34 students and 6 staff took part in a U.K./Paris Culture Tour. As well as exploring the tourist attractions of London and Paris they attended a week-long Christian camp where they had the opportunity do several fun activities interact with other young people from different cultures and share Gods word. In 2011 a group of 25 students and staff took part in a UK culture tour. Pupils had the opportunity to attend a Christian camp as well as seeing some of the historic sights of London. These included Madame Tussauds the London Sealife Centre the London Zoo the London Dungeons and the London Eye.

All students seeking admission will be required to write an entrance examination to ensure they have the foundations required to join our existing students. For admission into KG-JHS 1 entrance exam forms are available from May for entrance in September. There is a fee for the forms which covers the cost of the exam. Entrance exams may be taken on various dates between May and September. Students will only be permitted to write the entrance exam if there are vacancies in the class they require.

KG – Primary 6 Maths and English (1 hour per paper with a break in-between)

JHS1 Maths" English and Science (1 hour per paper with a break in-between)

  • The last 2 terms school report
  • A copy of the student’s birth certificate
  • Two passport sized pictures
  • Once entrance examinations are successfully passed" you will receive an offer of admission.
